Ejusdem – this Latin word means “the same”. It has got application in the following phrases: - - --
- Ejusdem generis – this Latin phrase means “of the same nature” or “of the same kind”. In practice, it refers to the description of two items that are with similar origin. For example, in the conveyance procedures, two property purchases at the same building, between the same parties, could be ejusdem generis, i.e. of the same type.
- Ejusdem negotii – it means “of the same transaction”. I.e. it refers to something that is involved in the same deal.
