Effugio – this Latin verb literally means flee from, escape, or run away. In the context of Criminal Law, after committed kidnapping, there are examples where the hostage has escaped from the place where been kept by the kidnappers. Synonyms of effugio are “fugio”, “pretereo” and “terga dare”.
