Devastavit – this word literally means “he wasted”. In the in the Inheritance Law in some legal systems, the term refers to mismanagement or misapplication – examples of improper management by the personal representative of the ancestor’s estate. The representative (guardian of estate) is liable for damages or reducing the inheritance pot, towards the heirs and the creditors.
