Detendor – this legal term refers to the figure of a person who is holding an item without legal reason. I.e. in the sphere of Property Law, it refers to the figure of an illegal possessor. The person who holds valid ownership rights, may forward their possession claims against the detendor.
Both the Criminal Law and the Civil Law in most jurisdictions create legal instruments to pursue protection of your possession rights against such illegal possessor.
