Deporto – this Latin term means to carry off, to take away. In the context of Criminal Law, taking a movable item away (i.e. changing its situation from its origin) is one of the aspects of the thievery. In other words, the item does not any longer stay in the possession of its owner or possessor. A synonym is “demo” which has similar meaning.
