Denuntio (or “denuncio”) – this Latin verb means to announce officially, pronounce, declare. In practice, the word “denuntio” relates to the legal term “litis denuntiatio”, applicable in the area of possession claims. There it entitles the property buyer to add on their side the vendor in their legal defense against third parties, who have harmed their ownership rights, on the possession lawsuit.
