Latin Legal Terms

Deleo – this Latin verb literally means to destroy, wipe out, erase. In practice, for example in the Building Law, if a house gets destroyed by itself within the warranty deadlines, prescript by the local building legislation, then a compensation could be pursued from the builder (developer). A synonym of “deleo” is the verb “depereo”.
