Latin Legal Terms

Dei judicio

Dei judicio – this term literally means “judgment by God”. It was used in ancient times to detail a barbarian type of trial, where judgment is given on the base of physical competitions (or battles) between the participants. It was considered that the win is given by God, so who wins, gets the judgment in their favor.
