Consanguneus – this legal term is applicable in the area of Inheritance Law in some legal systems, where refers to the figure of a person, related to the ancestor by blood (i.e. being their relative). On the base of this particular blood relation, the heir will inherit the assets, left by the testator. A similar term is “cognatus”, having almost the same meaning.
