Concipio – this Latin verb means to take or lay hold of, receive. In the legal practice, within the area of Law of Contracts, it details the right of each party, which has a favor or a benefit established in a contract, namely to receive performance of obligation (for example, payment) by the opposite party. Synonyms are “accipio”, “admitto”, and “suscipio”.
