Accuso – it means to accuse (being its modern description), to find fault with, to blame. Nowadays within the meaning, given by the Criminal Law, the term “accused”, refers to the figure of a person convicted and charged, who has allegedly committed the criminal offence (the crime). With forwarding accuse to the convicted person, the prosecutor invites him/her to appoint a lawyer or to request legal aid, if they cannot afford to pay a lawyer.
