Latin Legal Terms

Abscido - as used in the area of Criminal Law, this term means to cut off, to separate, to take away. For example, in the litigation proceedings, the court has the right to cut off paid compensation, if it is too much and not corresponding to the scale of the damages awarded. There is legal provision in Tort Law that the compensation of damages should be enough to restore the initial situation of the harmed – not to help him benefit from the injury.
