Edico – this Latin verb literally means to announce, to declare something to the people so they can get informed about it. Its legal meaning is proclaim, enact a legislation.
In the legal practice, the term finds application in the Parliamentary Law, where for example a country may declare its own independence. This is usually how a country is born.
