Custos

Custos (custodis) – this Legal term refers to the figure of a guardian, keeper, watchman. The guardian of person could be appointed by court to protect a minor or incapable child. In practice, the word “custos” participates in the term “custos morum”, which means “keeper of moral”, and usually refers to the figure of a person with is considered as example to the others with high moral standards.
