Latin Legal Terms

Continuus

Continuus – this Latin term literally means continuous; connected together. In practice, the act of marriage for example, represents creating a legal relation in which two people are connected together for long period of time, established to create rights and obligations for them in relation to creating a family and taking care of each other. Another example lies in the area of Contract Law, where the pursued goal of every concluded contract is to hold the parties legally together i.e. to oblige them for certain period of time towards each other.
