Codicillus

Codicillus – this legal term literally means “brief document”. In the legal practice, it has two different meanings:
- It has got application in the area of Inheritance Law, where the codicillus usually details an informal and inferior kind of will order to the heirs to perform a concrete action in order to receive title on the pot of inheritance.
- In ancient time, within the Roman Empire it also means a legal right, or a certain privilege, approved and given by the emperor towards a citizen.
