Clausula

Clausula – this Latin term means clause, term. In practice, it participates in the legal maxim “Clausula rebus sic stantibus”, that literally means “things thus standing”, and is applicable in the area of Law of Contracts. It provides that the parties may not follow their obligations in certain situations where the circumstances have changed fundamentally. This provision is exception of the legal rule “pacta sunt servanda”, which means that the contracts should be obeyed and performed.
