Antecessor

Antecessor – ancestor. The word relates to “antea (adv)” that means "before", “previously”. It participates in the legal phrase “haeres est pars antecessoris”, applicable in the area of Inheritance Law. It provise that the heir is a part of his ancestor, i.e. it details the legal reason why the inheritance pot should be forwarded from the testator towards his decedents.
