Adversus

Adversus - this legal term means: facing, opposite, opposing. It relates to the legal term “adversus claim”. Within the area of Court Trials it details the claim of the defendant in court case, in response and against the initially submitted claim by the plaintiff against them. It relates also to the legal phrase “adversus solem ne loquitor” that literally means “don’t argue against the sun”, i.e. it provides that you should not argue with wrong or weak arguments.
