They say that whatever the Romans have invented many centuries ago, has became eternal; i.e. applicable and used in present days. One of their creations was the Latin language, being member of the group of Italic languages and originating from the area Latium (today’s Italy) where the ancient people Latini lived. Wikipedia says that Historical Latin came from the prehistoric language around the River Tiber, where Roman civilization first developed. Despite the Golden age of the Latin language has been between 75BC and 14 AD, it developed all the time during the centuries and simply because it was well-spoken and recognized by many later civilizations in the form of Medieval Latin, Eclectically Latin and Renaissance Latin, it found its modern application in almost every science in present days – the Legal Theory, Medicine, Biology, Mathematics, etc.

We do not want to enter into discussions if the modern interpretation of the Latin language should be called “Living Latin” or “Neo-Latin”. But we admit that its application in the modern life should not be underestimated.
